Reid Masters Receives MD degree
Graduates with Honors
On May 3, 2008, Reid W. Masters, received his MD degree from the University of Illinois School of Medicine. In addition to graduating with Honors he received the McGraw-Hill/Lange Award for academic achievement, which is given to the top two students in the class. He is a member Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) National Medical Honor Society. Other awards include the Glaxo Wellcome Endowed Dean’s Award for Excellence in Primary Care, and the University of Illinois’ Excellence in Family Medicine Award .
While in medical school he coauthored a scientific article that has been accepted for publication in the next issue of Infectious Disease Clinics of North America.
Masters is a 2000 graduate of Sikeston High School, and a 2004 graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia. His parents are Dr. and Mrs. Ed Masters of Sikeston, MO. His paternal grandparents were the late Dr. and Mrs. E.C. Masters of Advance MO and the maternal grandparents are Mrs. Gayle Ebaugh and the late Paul Ebaugh of Cape Girardeau, MO.
On June 12, Reid Masters MD, will begin an internship with the United States Navy in San Diego, CA
